Q: Is the event family-friendly?
A: Yes, absolutely! We think the best way to visit Hurricane is to make it a vacation and bring the whole family because there is something for everyone! You might plan to bike and hike in Zion National Park but there is much more to see and do here in the Zion area. Hire a guide and go rock climbing! Maybe spend the day at a ranch and ride horses! Stay cool by playing in the lakes and hanging at the beach. The golfing is amazing and there are dinosaur tracks just down the street!
Q: Are E-Bikes allowed on trails in Hurricane?
A: Yes, e-bikes are allowed on all trails in Hurricane. Please be mindful of directional trails; there are many trails in Hurricane that are typically ridden as a uni-directional trail. E-bikes can turn an informally-known uni-directional trail, into a multi-directional trail; please be mindful that you will likely run into non-electric bike riders. It is the responsibility of each rider to consider the collective experience when sharing trails! When you run into others on the trails; follow traditional trail etiquette AND treat others as if they were in your group- with respect and courtesy!
E-bikes will be allowed on shuttles, but they will not be loaded on any roof-racks. If the hitch racks are full, riders with e-bikes will need to wait for the next shuttle.
Q: Can I bring my dog to the festival?
A: We prefer that you do NOT bring your dog to the festival. If you bring do them with you, we request the following; all dog’s are leashed, all dog poop will be properly disposed of, dogs will not be allowed to urinate within the venue (please don’t let them pee on festival and vendor belongings) and all dogs will be well behaved and socialized to be around kids, other dogs and big crowds.
Q: Are there any trails that I can ride near the venue?
A: Heck-yeah, right at the venue (park & ride)! There are a many trail options swing-by the registration booth or OTE Shop we will get you where you need to be.
Q: Do I need to get to the venue early?
A: People tend to line up EARLY, but that doesn’t mean you have to! We haven’t ever had a year where someone couldn’t get a bike. That being said, if you are looking for a specific bike in a standard size; for example, like the most recent release of a highly covered bike in a size large we recommend getting in line earlier than the others.
Q: Can I reserve a bike the night before?
A: Only a handful of the bike brands take reservations, but it’s worth asking about! Ask the vendors if they offer a reservation system and maybe, just maybe, you’ll get super lucky! If you want to reserve a specific bike, you can pay a separate fee to demo a bike at Over the Edge Sports, Hurricane.
